Winter Trekking Socks
Trekking socks for winter travels.
Description
Made from materials of highest quality, dedicated for use in extremely demanding conditions of winter tourism. Their design takes into account special circumstances of winter travels and construction of winter trekking boots.
Trekking socks designed to complement trekking boots, with particular attention to points of increased pressure on the wearer's feet vulnerable to abrasion. They are matched to anatomical shapes of left and right foot, with additional padding in sensitive places, welts, reinforcements, and flat seams near toes to prevent chaffing. Precise placement of ventilation zones and their maximized surface drain excess moisture released in high temperatures and during intense exertion. This reduces fatigue and swelling of the feet. The socks have wide elastic welt and elastic bands around soles and ankles improving stability and prevent them from sliding off or curling. They also include triple-layered, terry cloth reinforcement under heels, toes, and behind shins, absorbing shock, protecting from abrasions, and increasing the durability. A special seam at the bottom prevents folding and sliding, while the surface pulls moisture away from the skin.
Thermolite – one of the most advanced insulating fabrics made by DuPont, designed for use in the most extreme winter conditions. Made from elastic, spiral fibers that provide thermal insulation while being comfortable to touch. They have low volume, high durability and keep their thermal parameters even with increased humidity.
Note that winter socks are thicker than summer ones, and it needs to be taken into account while choosing your shoes.
