A backpack with 38 liter capacity using SAS carrying system, licensed from Wisport. The backpack’s external shape is a simple and practical construction, minimizing hindrance in narrow spaces.
The main compartment is lined inside with touch fasteners for attachment of interior organizers (Strider offers suitable organizers as well). It can be extended by unzipping external zipper, increasing the backpack’s capacity to 50 liters.
The backpack’s external dimensions (with the extra space folded) match standards for flight hand luggage size—after landing you can fill extended space with things that can’t be brought onto a plane or are impractical to carry for long term, such as food or water.
The backpack’s flap, closed with a zipper, separates the main compartment from external pockets. Interior of the compartment is made of double layered mesh, with space between layers forming two additional zipped pockets that can be accessed from either the main compartment or the external pockets.
The upper pocket on the front flap is made of mesh with a zipper. The lower pocket on the flap is split into partitions, with additional flat mesh pocket, open pocket on the left side, loop with D-ring, and 50 mm and 25 mm wide elastic organizer straps on its surface.
Upper, lower, and side surfaces of the backpack are covered in PALS webbing, and each of them has an additional pair of buckled loops that can concealed under elastic tapes when not in use. The bottom part of the backpack hides a pouch for a rainproof cover, fastened from the backside. The front surface can be utilized for additional gear with four pairs of strap loops that can hold a 1 cm (0.4”) string.
The backpack’s support area contains side-accessed space for hydration system with a loop to hang the container inside and a fold to cover the opening when not in use.
The backpack straps are comfortable, with ergonomic shape, filled with air-permeable, soft, thick foam. The straps can be adjusted at both ends, adapting the backpack’s center of mass to fit the user height. They are also fitted with buckles that help taking the backpack off in narrow places or without removing rainproof cape.
The backpack can be supplemented with waist strap (Strider offers matching waist belt and waist belt overlay) to help spread the weight from shoulders to pelvis and lower back.
