Strider project is based on using tested PALS webbing — Pouch Attachment Ladder System, American military invention. It is composed of webbing sewn into a load-bearing surface (e.g. vest, belt, backpack) and perpendicular straps on gear to be attached. Straps are interwoven with the webbing and secured in place, providing reliable coupling, which can be attached and detached in a reasonable amount of time. PALS webbing is not limited to military gear, it can be easily adjusted to fit regular waist belt, by skipping two vertical webbing lines, with the horizontal strap forming a loop for the belt.
